Description

This latest addition to our bicycle counter range has several advantages over existing methods for counting bicycles and can be used for wide or narrow paths. The counter consists of 2 self-contained units which include small antennas which are simply placed on either side of the path. There is no need to dig a trench in the path or road and the unit can be installed very quickly. The unit uses advanced metal detecting technology to reliably count alloy and steel bicycles as they pass between the units. The signal can pass through rock etc. so that the counter can be easily hidden from view. The units are robust and fully waterproof. A data logger can be supplied to enable data downloads directly onto a PC for analysis.

Datalogging

A datalogger can be supplied which is connected to the unit. It is housed in a small and strong polycarbonate box and it has its own power supply. The logger records the number of bicycles passing in a pre-set time interval. Any time interval can be chosen. If set at a 1 hour interval then the logger has the capacity of storing data for 670 days. This information is retrieved and analysed by connecting the logger to a PC. The logger can be downloaded on site using a portable PC or can be exchanged for another logger and taken away for downloading. (See data sheet on logger unit).

Additional housing

Robust housing can be supplied in situations where it is necessary to give the counter housing additional protection. This allows the counter housing to be buried or attached to posts etc. The housing has tamperproof screws.
